About the role
The Cashier will support the finance team by processing bank payments, handling cash and cheque deposits, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position ensures that all transactions are documented and approved according to company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Record daily receipts, disbursements, petty cash, and bank transactions; prepare cash balance logs, expense vouchers, and deposit slips.
- Perform daily cash counts and reconcile physical cash with accounting records.
- Submit cash reports and transaction summaries to the finance team; assist with monthly reconciliation, journal entries, and financial closing.
- Maintain proper documentation for payments, deposits, and reimbursements; support audit checks by providing required data.
- Process online banking transactions and payments as approved; handle cash and cheque deposits at bank counters when needed.
- Process customer payments, issue VAT invoices, update receivable records, and track pending payments.
