Coffee Sommelier – Specialty Coffee Expert

About the role

The Ned Doha is seeking a passionate Coffee Sommelier to elevate its coffee programme across the hotel’s premium venues. You will bring specialist knowledge of specialty coffee to create memorable experiences for discerning guests.

Key responsibilities

• Curate and deliver exceptional coffee experiences, including brewing, presentation, and service.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of coffee origins, roasting methods, brewing techniques, and flavor profiles.
• Recommend coffee selections and pairings tailored to individual guest preferences.
• Develop and update coffee menus, seasonal offerings, and specialty drinks.
• Train and inspire team members on coffee knowledge, brewing methods, and service standards.
• Monitor quality control to ensure consistency across all coffee offerings.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Coffee Sommelier, Head Barista, Coffee Specialist, or a similar specialty coffee role.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee sourcing, brewing methods, and sensory evaluation.
• Passion for delivering memorable guest experiences in a luxury hospitality setting.
• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
• Proactive, positive, and team‑oriented attitude; luxury hotel or fine‑dining experience is highly desirable.
