Commercial & Revenue Assurance Lead

About the role

The Commercial & Revenue Assurance Lead is responsible for independently verifying commercial figures reported by entities against source documentation. Acting as the first line of defence, the role identifies potential losses, uncertified earned‑value gaps and ageing receivables early enough for leadership to intervene.

Key responsibilities

• Validate cash‑flow, work‑in‑progress (WIP) and collections positions for priority projects, cross‑checking against original source documents.
• Identify uncertified earned value caused by internal submission failures rather than client disputes.
• Log commercial and contractual exposure entries in the EPMO Tasks & Issues Log.
• Flag material changes in reported figures between reporting cycles without accompanying explanations.
• Analyse variation orders, claims and cost‑value reconciliation to protect revenue.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in a construction commercial or quantity surveying function on the contractor side.
• Proven track record of improving WIP, collections or cash position on live projects or portfolios.
• Experience working in a main‑contractor or PMO commercial team on large, multi‑entity or international projects.
• Comfort with multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC/GCOC) and commercial mechanics.

Required skills

• Fluency in IPC certification cycles and BOQ structures.
• Knowledge of variation orders, claims and cost‑value reconciliation.
• Understanding of CPI and EAC mechanics from a contractor perspective.
• Ability to assess WIP, disputed work versus un‑submitted certified work.
• Familiarity with collections ageing and receivables management.
