EA & Planning Senior Analyst

About the role

The EA & Planning Senior Analyst will lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑wide technical solutions that support QatarEnergy LNG’s major projects across IT, telecom, network, applications and information security. The role balances business requirements, cost, schedule and quality while guiding integrated solution development for current and future needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate solution architectures, assessing cost, performance and scalability trade‑offs.
• Produce detailed specifications for cloud‑based or on‑premises components and ensure they align with enterprise architecture standards.
• Prepare technical plans, manage risks, estimate costs and resources, and monitor project schedules, budgets and quality.
• Support change control processes, obtain approvals, and ensure formal project closure with lessons learned captured.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT or business architecture, preferably within the oil & gas sector.
• Knowledge of systems development lifecycle and experience with SLA development and negotiation.
• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF/Zachman and PMP or Prince2.

• Enterprise Architecture frameworks: TOGAF, Zachman.
• Project Management methodologies: PMP, Prince2.
• Automated project‑management tools.
• Cloud architecture design (both cloud‑based and on‑premises).
• IT infrastructure and systems development lifecycle expertise.
• SLA negotiation and standard contracting procedures.
