System Support Specialist

About the role

Provide Supplier Relations Management (SRM) Materials Management (MM) and systems support expertise to ensure the efficiency, compliance and liability of the supply department’s digital platforms. Coordinate with end‑users, IT and governance teams to maintain system integrity, manage IP change requests and support enhancements aligned with QatarEnergy LNG’s management system (QLMS) and governance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for SAP MM and related systems, delivering technical guidance and user support.
• Manage business controls for system access requests, ensuring proper authorization and segregation of duties.
• Compile and review Business Support Investment Committee (BSIC) initiatives to align with departmental system needs.
• Identify and propose new software or hardware enhancements to improve automation and data visibility.
• Coordinate IT Change Requests (ITCRs) and other system demands, tracking objectives, timelines and implementation outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver system‑related training and awareness workshops for the supply function.
• Analyse system performance, risks and incident trends, producing reports for management decision‑making.
• Design and maintain SharePoint sites, dashboards and data repositories to ensure accurate and accessible reporting.
• Conduct system audits and performance reviews, recommending corrective actions for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, information technology or computer science.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in supply system administration or system enhancement within a large organization.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM.
• Familiarity with QLMS TOFA, BSIC and MOC documentation procedures.
