Finance Director - Controlling & Reporting

About the role

The Finance Director - Controlling & Reporting leads the Group's financial controlling, consolidation, statutory reporting and management reporting across UCC Holding (UCCH) and its affiliated entities, including Power International Holding (PIH) businesses. The role ensures the accuracy, integrity and compliance of consolidated financial reporting and gives executive management timely financial insights, overseeing financial close, IFRS compliance, financial controls and reporting governance across contracting, EPC, construction, supply chain and trading businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and manage consolidation of subsidiaries, joint ventures and affiliates under IFRS, including eliminations, intercompany reconciliations and adjustments.
• Establish and strengthen financial monitoring and control frameworks, review business performance and profitability, and ensure consistent accounting policies.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements and corporate governance, oversee annual external audits and prepare statutory statements and regulatory filings.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, shorten reporting cycles and review significant accounting judgments.
• Ensure accurate accounting of EPC and construction contracts, including IFRS revenue recognition (percentage-of-completion), project profitability, claims, variations and provisions.
• Prepare management reporting packs for the Board, CFO and senior leadership, develop KPIs and dashboards, and present performance analysis, risks and recommendations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Group Reporting and Controlling team, partner with Business Unit Finance Heads and build relationships with auditors, regulators and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Mandatory professional qualification: CPA, ACCA or CA; MBA in Finance or IFRS certification preferred.
• 12-15+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, consolidation, audit or financial controlling.
• Significant experience in diversified holding groups, multinational or large corporate environments, and in construction, EPC, infrastructure, contracting, trading or industrial businesses.
• Big 4 audit background strongly preferred, including at least 2 years as Audit Manager; proven leadership of large finance and reporting teams and experience with boards and audit committees.
