Inventory Management Coordinator

About the role

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is looking for an Inventory Management Coordinator. The role covers the storage inventory system, inventory stores and consumable spare parts, and supports the supply chain and internal audit documentation needs of the university.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the storage inventory system so that supply remains uninterrupted.
• Assign inventory tags to assets and equipment, and replace damaged tags to track every item.
• Meet supply chain objectives and reorder levels for general supply stores and consumable spare parts.
• Manage inventory and filing systems for all inventory stores under Facilities Management and each school's inventory stores.
• Carry out full inventory checks of stock and supplies twice a year and update both FAMIS and PeopleSoft databases.
• Oversee teams of inventory workers and housekeeping, ensuring safety and security of items with the Security Team.
• Assess and improve supplier flows and report to the Head, Facilities Maintenance and Operations.
• Keep requisition documentation complete, approved and accurate, and file receipt and issue vouchers correctly.
• Identify gaps in inventory processes and coordinate documentation for internal audits.
• Maintain inventory records, check record accuracy and property locations mid-year, and prepare reports.
• Perform field inventory by counting assets, locate missing items, move them and reconcile exceptions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Inventory and Warehousing or a relevant field.
• At least 4 years of experience in Facilities Management or a similar field.
• Fluent written and spoken English; fluent Arabic is preferred.
