IT Project Manager (Finance Background, Arabic Speaker)

About the role

ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar is hiring a full-time IT Project Manager in Doha with a finance background and who speaks Arabic. The role defines project objectives, plans and delivers IT projects within agreed timeframes, budget, technical specifications and quality, and manages the project team and third-party contractors. It reports to the CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Define project objectives aligned with business needs and lead the project team through planning, organisation, management and control.
• Coordinate design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, completion and initial operation of projects, including site mobilisation and demobilisation.
• Work with internal stakeholders and external service providers, and oversee design reviews and project plans.
• Analyse business needs, help draft business cases, coordinate with IT on architecture fit and recommend technologies.
• Monitor progress, budgets and quality, report to management and run project postmortems.
• Manage staff, give feedback and appraisals, and contribute to continuous improvement of project management tools.
• Prepare functional statements, progress reports and MIS, implement departmental policies and perform other related duties.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Management, Finance, Computer Science, Technology or Engineering.
• 8-10 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles within a financial institution.
• English and Arabic spoken (mandatory).
• Digital product or services development experience (mobile or web), agile team experience, and testing/QA discipline.
• Knowledge of financing, operations, systems and procedures, and of project management, process redesign and change management.
