About the role
The Junior Sous Chef will support the kitchen team in delivering high‑quality food service at a Marriott hotel in Doha. This role involves supervising cooks, creating decorative food displays, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen workers.
- Determine food presentation, create decorative displays, and ensure proper portioning and garnish.
- Monitor food preparation quantities, stock levels, and kitchen supply inventory.
- Communicate menu specials and out‑of‑stock items to service staff.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of kitchen staff.
Required profile
- Technical or vocational school degree.
- 4‑6 years of related culinary experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and perform physical tasks required in a kitchen.
- Commitment to safety, hygiene, and company policies.
