Learning & Development Trainee

About the role

The Learning & Development Trainee will support the Human Resources team in daily administrative tasks while gaining exposure to employee development processes. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on experience in filing, correspondence, and candidate assistance within a professional office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain filing systems and employee personnel files.
• Draft and type office correspondence using a computer.
• Distribute and route mail, order and track HR office supplies and forms.
• Answer phone calls, record messages, and provide courteous guest reception.
• Assist walk‑in candidates with application procedures and maintain a clean, accessible application area.
• Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR policies, programs, and employee‑relations issues.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of employee records, including interview documents and I‑9 forms.
• Follow company policies, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and uphold professional appearance.
• Enter and locate work‑related information using computers and point‑of‑sale systems.
• Perform light physical tasks such as moving objects up to 10 lb and other reasonable duties as requested.
