Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Line Maintenance (B1)

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking Licensed Aircraft Engineers (B1) for line maintenance in Doha. You will deliver aircraft maintenance activities that directly support flight operations, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient aircraft performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute assigned maintenance tasks in line with Qatar Airways and customer procedures.
• Review work procedures, propose improvements, and ensure final release of completed work meets company and customer standards.
• Supervise a team of mechanics or technical assistants, providing guidance, on‑the‑job training, and performance evaluation.
• Implement technical solutions within your authority and maintain aircraft or component serviceability to schedule requirements.

Required profile

• High school or vocational qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience.
• Diploma or degree in aircraft maintenance or engineering and a valid QR main‑fleet ICAO/QCAA license (B1).
• Strong managerial skills, including delegation, mentoring, and teamwork promotion.

Required skills

• Aircraft maintenance expertise (B1 licence).
• ICAO/QCAA certification for QR main fleet.
• Ability to select appropriate tools and equipment and apply mathematical problem‑solving.
