Linen Attendant

About the role

Alwadi Hotel Doha, the first MGallery boutique hotel in Msheireb Downtown Doha, is looking for a Linen Attendant. The role supports the Housekeeping team by keeping fresh, clean linen available for guests, through careful handling, sorting and stock control.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, sort, count and organise clean and soiled linen according to hotel procedures.
• Distribute clean linen to Housekeeping and other departments as required.
• Collect soiled linen from designated areas and send it to the laundry.
• Inspect linen for stains, damage and wear, separating items needing special treatment or replacement.
• Maintain accurate linen stock records and help with regular inventory checks.
• Keep linen storage areas clean, organised and well maintained, and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Handle linen carefully to avoid damage, loss or waste, following hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Laundry teams, and assist with distribution during busy periods.
• Report damaged, missing or unusable linen and follow procedures for storage, rotation and stock control.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a linen room, laundry, housekeeping or similar role is an advantage.
• Physically fit to handle, lift and move linen bundles safely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
• Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Positive attitude, reliability and a strong commitment to cleanliness and quality.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of linen handling, sorting, storage and stock control.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify stained, damaged or worn linen.
