Munitions Shift Supervisor

About the role

The Munitions Shift Supervisor leads the shift production efforts of the Munitions Department, overseeing receipt, storage, inspection, maintenance, reconstitution and shipping of munitions and mission‑critical equipment (MMHE). The role ensures compliance with safety, technical and quality standards while operating the Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS).

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Munitions Superintendent in managing safety, training and quality‑control programs.
• Develop and submit daily production schedules, monitor progress and adjust for limiting factors.
• Utilize TICMS for all production processes and verify complete accountability documentation.
• Conduct surveillance audits, end‑of‑shift facility security checks and compliance analyses for TCTOs and maintenance back‑orders.
• Track and ensure required training for all personnel, including operation of light vehicles and support equipment.
• Oversee net explosives limits, lightning protection and static‑ground system inspections, and communicate changes to Munitions Control.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Munitions Inspector/Technician.
• Strong knowledge of AFMAN 21‑200, DAFMAN 21‑201 and related SOPs.
• Ability to lead a shift team, monitor performance and address root‑cause issues.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management requirements.

• Forklift, pallet‑jack and manual‑hoist operation.
• Munitions inspection and maintenance procedures.
• Lightning‑protection and static‑ground system inspection.
