Oracle APEX Developer – Enterprise Web Applications

About the role

Systems Limited – Middle East & Africa (Techvista) is seeking an Oracle APEX Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade web applications using Oracle APEX and Oracle Database technologies. The role is hands‑on and focuses on delivering scalable, secure business solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Oracle APEX applications.
• Develop complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and other database objects.
• Build responsive web applications, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Integrate APEX applications with external systems via REST and SOAP APIs.
• Optimize application performance and database queries.
• Manage enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and fix bugs.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in requirements gathering, technical design, development, and deployment activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and support production releases.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in Oracle APEX development.
• Strong expertise in Oracle APEX, Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
• Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and SOAP web‑service integration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development.
• Understanding of database design, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience integrating Oracle applications with third‑party systems.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle best practices and Agile environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field; Oracle APEX certification is a plus.
