Process Engineer - Oil Movement and Tank Farm

About the role

QatarEnergy is looking for a Process Engineer to provide technical support for Oil Movement and Tank Farm operations. The role covers process safety, quality control and loss prevention, and leads process troubleshooting so that crude oil, naphtha and condensate are stored safely and exported on time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Oil Movement and Tank Farm operations, covering process safety, quality control and loss prevention.
• Lead process troubleshooting to ensure safe, efficient and reliable storage and timely export of crude oil, naphtha and condensate.
• Coordinate projects related to upgrades, modifications or new systems in Oil Movement and Tank Farm facilities.
• Interface with engineers, consultants, contractors and relevant QP departments throughout project phases, from RFES, ECS, SOR, PIN and FEED through EPIC to commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• 10-12 years of experience in plant and process design in refineries or oil-processing plants, including at least 6 years in a senior supervisory, engineering or technical services capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent, plus formal training in process simulation and computer operations; membership of a chartered professional institute is preferred.
• High degree of fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• In-depth experience with process simulation packages such as PRO/II, HYSYS and ProSim.
• Other engineering design packages and spreadsheets such as Excel.
