Project Manager – Exhibitions & Event Production (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

Vega is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead exhibition and event production projects in Doha on a six‑month contract. The role combines technical oversight with hands‑on coordination of design, production, logistics and on‑site execution to ensure successful delivery of temporary structures and custom installations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from client hand‑over through design, production, installation, event operation and dismantling.
• Interpret AutoCAD and technical drawings, elevations, sections and material specifications.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including design, estimation, production, procurement, logistics and site crews.
• Develop project schedules, production plans, method statements, manpower plans and site execution requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, technical meetings and briefings with venues, organisers and subcontractors.
• Ensure delivery within approved timeline, budget, quality and safety standards.
• Identify technical challenges early and propose practical solutions.
• Supervise installation and dismantling activities on‑site and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in exhibitions, events, temporary structures or related production sectors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Experience in the Qatar or GCC exhibition market is an advantage.
• Immediate availability or short‑notice start.
