Prompt Engineer

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a Prompt Engineer in Doha, within its Oil & Gas sector. The role focuses on designing and optimizing prompts for large language models and building retrieval-augmented generation systems for enterprise applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, optimize and iterate prompts for LLMs such as GPT, Claude and Gemini to get high-quality outputs
• Build RAG pipelines using LangChain or LlamaIndex for enterprise applications
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure prompt performance, cost and latency
• Work with domain experts to tailor outputs for sectors such as legal, medical and finance
• Troubleshoot LLM limitations and implement structured output solutions using JSON/YAML

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI or a related discipline
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering
• Portfolio of prompt engineering projects

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex and LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
• Strong knowledge of prompt design techniques such as chain-of-thought, few-shot prompting and structured outputs
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) is an advantage
