Security Officer (Cyber Security)

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a Security Officer (Cyber Security) in Doha. The role monitors, analyzes and safeguards the organization's IT/OT infrastructure against cyber threats, covering incident management, vulnerability assessments, security tool management and compliance with approved security frameworks and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor internal and external data and network traffic to detect and report suspicious activity.
• Analyze, triage and remediate security incidents, including malware and vulnerability management.
• Manage, operate and update security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, firewalls, sandboxes and VPNs.
• Enforce security and access control policies and report misuse of access.
• Provide security advice to developers, network engineers and other teams.
• Carry out vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and mitigate risks promptly.
• Keep up to date with IT/OT cyber threats and trends, and follow Qatar-approved security frameworks and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in cyber security.
• Excellent command of English (reading and writing).
• Relevant information security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, Internet protocols, OT segmentation)
• Good understanding of cloud environments, client-server and web applications, and relational databases
