About the role
The hospital is seeking an experienced senior accountant to lead its accounts payable and general ledger functions. You will ensure accurate financial postings, timely payments, and robust accounting procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable and general ledger activities, ensuring accurate postings, reconciliations and timely payments.
- Lead month‑end and year‑end closing, reviewing accruals, pre‑payments, provisions and balance‑sheet schedules.
- Review supplier discrepancies, expenditure allocations and payment controls, coordinating with Procurement and budget owners.
- Prepare financial reports and audit schedules, supervise junior accountants and strengthen accounting procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in a hospital or healthcare organization.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA or equivalent.
Required skills
- Strong experience in financial closing and internal controls.
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills.
