Senior Electrical Engineer – Oil & Gas (Qatar)

About the role

Airswift is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major oil & gas client in Qatar. The role focuses on detailed electrical design and front‑end engineering for on‑shore and off‑shore projects, supporting both brown‑field upgrades and new asset services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering scope for small‑size projects, from feasibility studies through detailed design.
• Develop system designs up to 33 kV, including single‑line diagrams, metering and protection schematics.
• Prepare specifications, data sheets, material requisitions (MR) and technical bid evaluations (TBE).
• Review vendor drawings and documents, produce layout drawings and perform sizing calculations.
• Generate cable schedules, distribution‑board schedules and other technical lists.
• Conduct power system studies and produce clear technical reports.
• Collect field data on‑site as required to validate designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 12 + years of experience in electrical design and FEED for oil & gas on‑shore and off‑shore projects.
• Proven experience on brown‑field and asset‑service contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to act as lead electrical engineer on small projects.
• Willingness to travel to site for data‑collection activities.
