About the role
The Shipping Performance Analyst will support the LNG fleet by analysing vessel and voyage data to optimise operational efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and ensure compliance with charter party warranties. The role provides actionable insights and reporting to drive data‑driven improvements across the LNG fleet.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse vessel and voyage performance data to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Optimise fuel consumption and operational parameters.
- Ensure compliance with charter party warranties and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and deliver clear performance reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement improvements.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of sailing experience on LNG vessels in a senior role, vessel performance analysis, or marine engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Nautical Science, Data Analytics or a related field.
- Strong quantitative and analytical capability with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and communicate findings clearly.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of LNG carrier propulsion systems (X‑DF, ME‑GI, DFDE).
- Experience with boil‑off management techniques (reliquification, regas, subcooler).
- Proficiency in performance analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI and advanced Excel models.
- Ability to interpret performance curves, BOG trends, speed‑consumption tables and technical datasets.
- Strong report‑writing and presentation skills.
