Transient Aircraft Services Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) Technician provides essential ground handling and servicing for United States and Coalition aircraft operating in Qatar. Working 24/7 on a high‑tempo flight line, the technician ensures safe arrival, turn‑around, and departure of aircraft in compliance with all safety and technical directives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a ZERO‑harm workplace by following flight‑line safety standards, FOD prevention, tool control, and PPE usage.
• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, positioning, chocking, and grounding according to Technical Orders and airfield procedures.
• Execute aircraft arrival and departure services, supporting turn‑around and mission readiness.
• Assist with aircraft launch and recovery operations in coordination with supervisors.
• Conduct operator‑level inspections and servicing of vehicles and support equipment used in TAS operations.
• Maintain strict accountability of tools and equipment, adhering to tool‑control programs.
• Participate in routine flight‑line inspections and immediate removal of foreign objects.
• Document aircraft servicing records, shift logs, and inspection checklists.

Required profile

• Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Ability to work in an austere environment with 24/7/365 shift schedules.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with Technical Orders and Air Force directives.
• Effective communication with supervisors and team members.
