Telephone Operator (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha, a luxury all-inclusive hotel with 378 rooms, is looking for a Telephone Operator who speaks Arabic. The role covers answering guest calls, handling enquiries and complaints, and keeping the switchboard running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Answer every guest call professionally and greet guests by name, following Rixos standards
• Resolve guest complaints and requests and liaise with the relevant departments for immediate follow-up
• Keep guests informed about hotel occupancy, functions, groups and VIPs
• Maintain the switchboard so internal and external calls are transferred quickly and efficiently
• Complete long-distance call vouchers and record them on the traffic sheet; monitor long-distance call logs, faxes and messages
• Maintain the guest wakeup call sheet and deliver calls on time
• Handle every query politely and courteously, exceeding guest expectations
• Keep up to date on hotel and local services, attend scheduled training and cooperate with all departments
• In emergencies, coordinate communication within the hotel

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience
• Previous experience in hospitality, concierge, reception, customer service or a similar position
• Fluent Arabic and English; another language is an advantage
• Professional appearance, punctuality and dependability
