Telephone Operator (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

The Iconic Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha is looking for a Telephone Operator who speaks Arabic. The role covers answering guest calls, handling queries and complaints, keeping the switchboard running smoothly and supporting the hotel's service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive every guest call professionally and courteously, greet guests by name and handle complaints and requests, liaising with the relevant departments for immediate follow-up.
• Aim for a quality audit score of 95% or more and high guest satisfaction on the TRUST YOU platform.
• Check hotel occupancy, functions, groups and VIPs, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the hotel and local services.
• Complete long-distance call vouchers and record them on the traffic sheet, and monitor long-distance call logs, faxes and messages.
• Maintain the guest wakeup call sheet and deliver calls on time to the established standard.
• Ensure the switchboard operates properly so internal and external calls are transferred quickly and efficiently.
• Co-ordinate communication within the hotel in emergencies and attend scheduled training classes.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in hospitality, concierge, reception, customer service or a similar position.
• Fluent Arabic and English; another language is an advantage.
• Professional appearance, punctuality and dependability.
• Ability to cooperate with the team and other departments and to lead by example.
