Waiter / Waitress Intern

About the role

Alwadi Hotel Doha, the first MGallery boutique hotel in Msheireb Downtown Doha, is looking for a Waiter / Waitress Intern. You will support the Food & Beverage team in delivering warm, personalised service in the hotel's restaurants, bars and lounges.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Food & Beverage team in daily operations across restaurants, bars and events.
• Support service during breakfast, lunch, dinner and banquets.
• Prepare tables, mise-en-place and service areas to brand standards before each shift.
• Greet guests, provide attentive service and handle their requests with care.
• Learn and apply service standards, upselling techniques and menu knowledge.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
• Practice proper handling of food, beverages and equipment in line with hygiene standards.
• Support the team during events, themed nights and special promotions.
• Give feedback and share ideas for improving service and guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Currently studying in Hospitality, Tourism or a related field.
• Strong interest in Food & Beverage operations and guest service.
• Positive attitude, well-groomed appearance and team spirit.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• A basic understanding of hygiene and safety standards is an advantage.
