Doorman

About the role

The Doorman is the first point of contact for guests arriving at the Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha. You will ensure a warm welcome, manage luggage handling, and guide visitors to the appropriate areas of the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Open the main entrance, greet guests on arrival and departure, and direct them to the correct locations.
• Handle guest luggage efficiently, tag each piece with a baggage claim tag, and ensure its safety.
• Park guest and visitor vehicles in the designated area and manage vehicle movements.
• Issue room key cards, maintain control for guest security, and report any unusual occurrences to the Concierge desk.
• Resolve guest complaints or requests by liaising with the relevant department for immediate follow‑up.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic Concierge desk area and keep the logbook up to date.
• Monitor hotel occupancy, events, VIP arrivals, and communicate pertinent information to the next shift.
• Assist guests with luggage, report incidents to the Assistant Front Office Manager, and follow fire and first‑aid procedures.

Required profile

• Outgoing personality with a positive mindset.
• Polished and professional appearance; well‑groomed at all times.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy luggage.
