Drainage Engineer

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Drainage Engineer to join its Doha team, contributing to the design and delivery of infrastructure projects across Qatar. The role involves creating conceptual and detailed designs, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed engineering designs for infrastructure development projects.
• Prepare technical notes, design reports, and other engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated, multi‑disciplinary designs and resolve design challenges.
• Provide support for wet utilities such as foul sewer, potable water, and treated sewage effluent.
• Create engineering design models using Civil 3D or similar software.
• Utilize engineering software tools including SewerGEMS, InfoWorks ICM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, and QGIS.
• Review design deliverables for technical compliance and construction clarity.
• Collaborate with BIM/CAD designers to finalize drawings and resolve utility clashes.
• Develop simple workflows or templates to improve design efficiency.
• Review and check the work of peers and less experienced engineers for quality and accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in drainage or related infrastructure design.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interaction.
