Electrical Engineer (MMUP/UPDA First Category)

About the role

Technicas Reunidas is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join its Al Khor office. The role focuses on equipment and electrical material management for oil & gas and power projects, ensuring compliance with contractual and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate technical solutions.
• Analyse and implement contractual documentation and normative requirements.
• Perform sizing studies, prepare technical specifications, requisitions, and material take‑offs (MTO).
• Evaluate technical bids and follow up purchase orders to meet delivery milestones.
• Coordinate requirements with Purchasing, Inspection, and Project disciplines.
• Supervise team activities under the guidance of the Electrical Team Leader.
• Utilise management tools such as SmartPlant Materials and Documentum.
• Support proposal development, cost estimation, and preparation of deviation and clarification lists.

Required profile

• Current Qatar residency and MMUP/UPDA First Category Engineer certification.
• Minimum 12 years (144 months) of experience in electrical engineering for oil & gas or power projects.
• Proven ability to manage equipment and material specifications, bids, and procurement processes.
• Strong coordination skills with cross‑functional engineering disciplines.
