IT Executive – Hotel Technology

About the role

The IT Executive will oversee all technology systems at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara, ensuring reliable operation of hotel applications, networks and communication tools. This position provides critical support to every department while maintaining data security and system uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot PMS, POS, accounting software and other hotel applications.
• Monitor and manage LAN/WAN networks, Wi‑Fi connectivity and server infrastructure.
• Implement data backup, disaster recovery and security protocols.
• Provide daily technical support to staff, configure workstations, user accounts and permissions.
• Train employees on system usage and IT policies.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software and network maintenance.
• Plan and execute regular system updates and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licenses and warranties.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and PCI‑DSS standards, conduct regular audits.
• Support telecommunication systems including IP phones, PBX and VoIP, and resolve guest internet issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• 2–4 years of IT support experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of hotel systems such as PMS, POS, back‑office, CCTV and PBX.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, MS Office and networking (LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi).
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and provide 24/7 support when required.
