IT Support Specialist

About the role

The IT Support Specialist will work under the guidance of the Information Technology Manager to ensure smooth operation of all hotel technology systems. This role supports users across the property, maintains network and hardware components, and delivers training on key applications.

Key responsibilities

• Answer IT‑related emails and faxes, especially in the manager’s absence.
• Assist the IT Manager with user training on Fidelio, Micros, internet and other office software.
• Monitor and manage software and hardware resources, including backup tapes.
• Troubleshoot issues in Fidelio, Micros, Sopho and other hotel systems.
• Revise forms, modify simple reports and adjust user rights as directed.
• Research, develop and program solutions for end‑users.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with security and contingency procedures.
• Coordinate with department heads to guarantee uninterrupted service.
• Log, close and follow up on support tickets; be available on‑call 24 hours.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the IT Manager’s direction and support multiple hotel departments.
• Strong awareness of current technology trends.
• Willingness to provide on‑call support and conduct user training.
• Good analytical skills to diagnose software and hardware problems.
