Mechanical Junior Supervisor – Base Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanical Junior Supervisor – Base Maintenance will lead a team of skilled technicians in performing detailed maintenance, inspection, and repair activities on the Typhoon aircraft and its components. This position combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring all tasks comply with approved technical data and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed maintenance, inspection, and supervision of Typhoon aircraft and components.
• Ensure work is completed according to the work package and approved technical information.
• Diagnose and resolve faults, manage configuration changes, and raise ad‑hoc work cards for found faults.
• Supervise the maintenance team, monitor schedule adherence, and report impacts to the wider program.
• Maintain personal task authorisations and ensure staff competence for allocated tasks.
• Perform support tasks such as oversight checks, tooling and test‑equipment control, and compliance with MOE and FMP procedures.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance assessments for team members.
• Maintain a personal logbook, sign off on others' logbooks within skill boundaries, and, if qualified, approve authorisations and competency assessments.

Required profile

• Experienced mechanical technician with a solid understanding of approved technical data sets.
• Proven ability to supervise personnel and deliver maintenance instructions within a regulated framework.
• Strong analytical skills for fault diagnosis and resolution.
• Team‑oriented, proactive attitude with the ability to take direction and provide leadership.
• Valid personal task authorisations for aircraft or component work.
