Mechatronics Mentor

About the role

SkillFusion Robotics is looking for a Mechatronics Mentor to co‑develop a new Mechanical & Design curriculum and deliver it in partner schools across Qatar. This part‑time role combines curriculum design with hands‑on classroom instruction for students from Pre‑K to Grade 12.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce the Mechanical & Design curriculum, including lesson plans, workbooks, slide decks and hands‑on project kits.
• Define learning progression across age groups, from basic mechanisms to CAD design and applied mechatronics builds.
• Select, prototype and prepare mechanical projects (gears, linkages, 3D‑printed parts, etc.) suitable for classroom delivery.
• Teach the course on a scheduled ECA basis at partner schools.
• Collaborate with the existing robotics and coding team to ensure continuity across the full engineering pathway.
• Maintain and iterate course materials based on classroom feedback and manage basic kit inventory.

Required profile

• Background in Mechatronics, Robotics or Mechanical Engineering with practical experience across design, electronics and coding.
• Prior teaching, mentoring or workshop‑facilitation experience with school‑age students is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic or Hindi is a plus.
• Based in Doha and able to travel to partner schools.

Required skills

• CAD tools such as Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.
• Mechanical design and prototyping, including 3D printing.
• Electronics basics: sensors, actuators, motor drivers and circuit wiring.
• Embedded programming with Arduino or ESP32.
