Offshore Methods Draftsman

About the role

Saipem is seeking an Offshore Methods Draftsman to join the COMP2 / Ruya12 project within the Subsea Engineering Department in Doha. The role supports the Project Manager by preparing detailed installation drawings and layouts for offshore transportation and installation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare anchor pattern and mooring drawings for offshore vessels.
• Develop transportation and installation layouts for pipelines, jackets, decks, bridges, piles, risers, j‑tubes, sleepers and mattresses.
• Produce detailed drawings for offshore subsea facilities including pipelines and flexible products.
• Coordinate with on‑shore and off‑shore teams to ensure design compliance with project specifications.
• Support operation follow‑up and yard activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or related Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in offshore installation engineering, including on‑site and yard work.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in shallow water installation methods (S‑Lay, Jacket, Deck, Cables, Structures).
• Experience with EPC offshore transportation and installation projects.
• Advanced use of AutoCAD 2D/3D and similar drafting tools.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Project and advanced Excel.
