Operations Specialist / Engineer

About the role

The Operations Specialist / Engineer will provide high‑level operational support and commercial administration for projects, ensuring contractual, financial and compliance requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle. The role acts as a key interface between project teams, clients and corporate departments such as Finance, HR and Legal to drive operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit invoices; follow up on payments.
• Lead project kick‑start activities, coordinating insurances, bonds and required documentation.
• Administer the full secondment lifecycle, including recruitment, CV screening, mobilisation/demobilisation and invoicing.
• Prepare, review and approve timesheets and related financial documentation.
• Support technical submissions and initial project deliverables until full team deployment.
• Coordinate issuance and renewal of general and project‑specific insurances.
• Arrange, track and manage performance bonds and guarantees in line with contract terms.
• Assist project teams in preparing Contract Project Review (CPR) presentations.
• Draft official correspondence, maintain project trackers and dashboards.
• Lead the procurement process for consultancy contracts, sub‑consultancy agreements and inter‑company agreements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction‑related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in operations or project coordination within an engineering consultancy or construction environment.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
