Project Engineer – Strategic Highways O&M

About the role

Egis is seeking a detail‑oriented Project Engineer to join its Doha team on a long‑term strategic highways operation and maintenance project. The role supports the Structures Manager in coordinating inspections and maintenance of bridges, tunnels, culverts, retaining walls and other highway assets, ensuring safety, structural integrity and compliance with contractual SLAs and KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance activities to meet all contractual SLAs and KPIs.
• Optimize daily utilization of in‑house staff and subcontractors, eliminating waste and ensuring consistency.
• Use the MAXIMO Asset Management System to create, track and close Work Orders and Service Requests efficiently.
• Support the Structures Manager in delivering project milestones, representing the structures discipline in client meetings and stakeholder engagements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (traffic, lighting, pavement, HSE, etc.) to ensure integrated network operations and maintenance.

Required profile

• Experience in bridges and highway structures operation and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of inspection procedures, preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Ability to manage staff and subcontractors and ensure compliance with SLAs/KPIs.
• Familiarity with asset management processes and systems.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MAXIMO Asset Management System.
