Rotating Equipment Engineer

About the role

Celestal is seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer to lead the engineering, specification, and delivery of turbine packages on major industrial energy projects. You will act as the discipline engineer, ensuring turbine equipment meets client requirements while staying within quality, schedule, and budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Discipline Engineer for turbine equipment within EPC projects.
• Analyse technical requirements and define suitable turbine engineering solutions.
• Prepare and review datasheets, specifications, and requisitions.
• Evaluate vendor bids, monitor vendor engineering activities post‑award, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure deliverables align with project quality, cost, and planning targets.
• Participate in technical reviews, inspections, testing, and start‑up support.
• Manage interfaces among vendors, procurement, construction, and project management.
• Maintain compliance with QA/QC and HSE standards.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas or industrial EPC projects involving turbine equipment.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Rotating equipment engineering knowledge.
• Familiarity with international standards.
• Ability to review P&IDs, process documentation and mechanical interfaces.
• Experience in vendor coordination and technical bid evaluation.
• Understanding of project execution phases (FEED, construction, start‑up).
