Senior Cybersecurity Assurance Consultant

About the role

The Senior Cybersecurity Assurance Consultant leads the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of assurance services that protect information assets and ensure regulatory compliance. The role translates strategic objectives into operational programs, manages multidisciplinary teams, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen governance, risk, and compliance outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, monitor, and improve assurance services in line with national and international standards.
• Convert department strategic direction into actionable projects and programs.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges affecting assurance service delivery.
• Assess and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of department operations.
• Manage resources, coordinate with other departments, and track objectives and key results.
• Oversee NISCF‑related deliverables, task assignments, and certification/accreditation activities.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to provide expert feedback and drive adoption of assurance services.
• Mentor, lead, and develop NISCF resources and certification specialists.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management or related field, or at least 18 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of audit and assurance experience and 4 years of specialized assessment or auditing experience.
• Proven hands‑on experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT audit, and assurance.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives.

Required skills

• Risk management and compliance assessment.
• International standards: ISO 27001, COBIT, NIA, Common Criteria.
• Accreditation and certification standards: ISO 17021, ISO 17024, ISO 17025, ISO 17065, ISO 27006.
• Governance, regulatory compliance, and management system development.
• Project management and team leadership.
• Professional certifications in auditing, compliance, or risk management (preferred).
