Senior Manager – Business Finance (Commercial)

About the role

As Senior Manager – Business Finance (Commercial) you will act as the finance co‑pilot to the Chief Commercial Officer, shaping pricing, partnership and commercial decisions across the company. You will unify vertical P&L narratives, arbitrate growth‑versus‑margin trade‑offs and build a high‑performing Commercial Finance team that sits at every key business decision point.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CCO on pricing, partnership and commercial strategy, providing financial insight and recommendations.
• Own the consolidated commercial P&L across all verticals and translate performance into a single narrative for senior leadership.
• Design and implement the commercial finance operating model, including review cadences, scorecards, ROI frameworks and investment governance.
• Develop and lead the Commercial Business Finance team, placing trusted finance partners alongside each vertical GM.
• Manage the financial architecture of major commercial levers such as commission structures, take‑rate strategy, promotion budgets and marketing co‑investment.
• Lead growth‑versus‑profitability analyses, presenting clear options and challenging assumptions with data‑driven insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience partnering with C‑level commercial leaders, especially as a trusted finance advisor to a Chief Commercial Officer or General Manager.
• Track record of building and leading Commercial or Business Finance teams in fast‑growth environments.
• Deep understanding of marketplace economics, including revenue models, take rates, contribution margin, promotions, incentives and customer lifetime value.
• Strong executive communication skills, able to distill complex financial topics into concise, compelling narratives.
