SOC Engineer – Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a SOC Engineer to join our security operations team. The role focuses on monitoring security alerts, triaging incidents and supporting customers throughout the incident response lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse cybersecurity alerts and events to detect potential threats.
• Tri‑age alerts, create and update cases in the case‑management system, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Notify customers of incidents, advise on mitigation actions and support incident response according to SOC procedures.
• Escalate complex cases to Senior Analysts and track case progress.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and produce post‑incident reviews, dashboards and metrics.
• Identify and propose improvements to SOC processes, procedures and services.

Required profile

• Strong willingness to learn and develop a career in cybersecurity.
• Reliable, responsible work ethic with the ability to work shift‑based schedules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Logical and analytical thinking for investigating security cases.

Required skills

• Understanding of TCP/IP network traffic and event‑log analysis.
• Knowledge of operating systems, network architecture and system design principles.
• Familiarity with common cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, exploits and mitigation techniques.
