About the role

Newton British Academy – Barwa City is looking for an enthusiastic Upper Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher to join its growing team in Doha. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons across all subjects and help students reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Upper Key Stage 2 lessons that drive excellent progress.
• Assess, monitor and report on student achievement and attainment.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and resilience.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community to support student success.
• Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, QTS or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, preferably within the British Curriculum.
• Strong understanding of the English National Curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
