Assistant Director of Sales – Government & Corporate Segment

About the role

The Assistant Director of Sales will lead the Government and Corporate segment for Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha, driving revenue growth through strategic account management, market development and close collaboration with hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify prospective accounts, analyse historical data and create action plans for key accounts.
• Represent the hotel at domestic and international fairs in line with the Business/Marketing Plan.
• Prioritise domestic market sales, targeting local travel trade and corporate accounts.
• Coordinate international market activities with the Country Director of Sales.
• Manage room availability for peak periods in partnership with Operations Management.
• Maintain a balanced market mix to protect product quality and reduce dependence on single markets.
• Conduct regular meetings with Rooms Division, Reservations and F&B to exchange information and solve problems.
• Achieve a minimum of 5‑7 personal sales/courtesy calls and 10 telephone sales calls daily while ensuring prompt correspondence.
• Oversee staff vacation and public‑holiday balances and report to HR.
• Assume Duty Manager responsibilities when scheduled and support new‑opening task forces.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Marketing or a hospitality‑related diploma.
• 8‑10 years of sales experience in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel environment.
• Familiarity with hotel operational standards and documentation.
• Ability to manage administrative duties, staff scheduling and cross‑departmental coordination.
