Population Health Research Specialist

About the role

The IPH Administration is seeking a Population Health Research Specialist to lead and support research projects that improve public health outcomes across Qatar. The role involves managing the full research lifecycle, from study design to dissemination of findings.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of population health research, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
• Support recruitment, training, and orientation of research staff and partner sites.
• Engage regularly with stakeholders—including WCMC‑Q, Hamad Medical Corporation, Ministry of Public Health, Primary Health Care Centers, and IRB—to gather requirements and resolve issues.
• Design and coordinate research studies using appropriate methodologies.
• Analyze and interpret data, producing reports, academic publications, newsletters, and social media content.
• Assist IPH and medical education programs as directed by leadership.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students and team members.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or MBBS) with a Master’s in Public Health or a PhD in a health‑related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of research experience in Qatar or a comparable country.
• Proven track record of scientific writing for peer‑reviewed journals and reports.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is preferred.
