Specialist – Vascular Surgery

About the role

The Specialist in Vascular Surgery provides clinical care within a multidisciplinary team, working under the guidance of a Consultant and supporting departmental objectives. The role involves direct patient management, on‑call duties, and participation in academic and research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all clinical interventions within the scope of approved vascular surgery privileges.
• Conduct daily inpatient rounds, evaluate patient care, and present cases to the supervising Consultant.
• Provide care in specialized outpatient clinics and respond to on‑call assignments as required.
• Document comprehensive medical records, including histories, operative reports, and discharge summaries.
• Deliver training, academic teaching, and contribute to scientific research under departmental direction.

Required profile

• Arab Board Qualification or equivalent (e.g., Jordan, India, Sudan).
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in Vascular Surgery in a government, semi‑government or private teaching hospital.
• Valid medical license in the home country and eligibility for licensing in Qatar.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork abilities.
