Technical Writer – LNG Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to create, review and maintain high‑quality operational and technical documentation for LNG production and related facilities. The role works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Project teams to ensure procedures are accurate, compliant and user‑friendly.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain operating procedures, standing instructions and technical manuals for plant operations.
• Conduct regular re‑validation of procedures, identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Create competency assessment packages for Operations and Maintenance staff.
• Coordinate with engineering, graphics and stakeholder teams to gather technical data and ensure consistency across documents.
• Ensure all documentation complies with company QHSE standards, ISO requirements and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process operations within LNG, Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors.
• At least 3 years as a Technical Writer producing operational or engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Experience using desktop publishing software, project planning and scheduling tools.
• Ability to create flowcharts, graphics and interpret technical drawings.
