About the role
Join one of the world’s most advanced airports as the IT Manager responsible for keeping critical airport systems running 24/7. You will ensure the stability, security, and performance of platforms that support passenger journeys, baggage handling, and airfield activities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead 24/7 support for core airport systems such as the Airport Operational Database (AODB), Baggage Handling System (BHS) and other operations platforms.
- Take full ownership of incidents, guaranteeing system availability, rapid recovery and continuous improvement.
- Personally drive major incident resolution from start to finish, perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
- Manage a team of engineers and support staff, fostering a high‑performance culture in a round‑the‑clock environment.
- Oversee live system upgrades (e.g., AMS upgrade) and ensure smooth transition of projects into business‑as‑usual operations.
Required profile
- 8+ years of experience with airport IT systems, specifically AODB and BHS.
- Proven leadership of technical teams operating in a 24/7 setting.
- Hands‑on incident and problem management expertise.
- Background working within internal IT teams rather than solely as a vendor.
- Experience in large‑scale airport operations and exposure to cyber/IT operational processes.
- Ability to thrive under high pressure and manage multiple priorities.
