In‑Room Dining Order Taker & Cashier

About the role

The In‑Room Dining Order Taker joins the Food & Beverage team at Mandarin Oriental, Doha, handling guest orders for in‑room dining and ensuring a seamless service experience. You will work closely with the IRD Manager and kitchen staff to deliver timely and accurate orders.

Key responsibilities

• Take guest orders for in‑room dining, offering suggestions and complementary items.
• Track and follow up on order delivery, coordinating with colleagues to avoid delays.
• Handle billing and cashiering tasks in line with hotel standards and policies.
• Assist other outlets and perform reasonable tasks assigned by the IRD Manager.

Required profile

• Good understanding of food and beverage offerings, able to explain menu items, wine pairings, ingredients and promotions.
• Professional phone etiquette with clear registration and communication of guest requests.
• Effective communication with kitchen staff to ensure flawless service.

Required skills

• Knowledge of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems used for in‑room dining.
• Basic cash handling and billing procedures.
