Typhoon Avionics Operator

About the role

The Typhoon Avionics Operator reports to the Avionics Junior Supervisor and is responsible for detailed base maintenance of Typhoon aircraft avionics systems. The role requires hands‑on experience with Typhoon platforms, strict adherence to approved data sets and regulatory frameworks, and the ability to work effectively within a maintenance team.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed inspection, repair, modification and functional testing of Typhoon avionics components.
• Follow diagnostic procedures and work packages using approved technical information.
• Assist in fault resolution, generate ad‑hoc work cards for found faults and ensure configuration management compliance.
• Maintain personal task authorisation and comply with QAF and MOE requirements.
• Document all maintenance actions and update airworthiness records in IT or paper systems.
• Report progress against delivery targets and support base‑maintenance activities such as tooling and test‑equipment control.

Required profile

• Proven experience maintaining Typhoon aircraft avionics.
• Strong knowledge of approved data sets, regulatory frameworks and safety management systems.
• Ability to work autonomously while following direction and team procedures.
• Commitment to accurate record‑keeping and continuous airworthiness.
