Typhoon Avionics Operator

About the role

The Typhoon Avionics Operator will join the Base Maintenance Facility and report to the Avionics Junior Supervisor. This position is responsible for performing detailed maintenance and inspection of the Typhoon aircraft's avionic systems, ensuring compliance with approved technical data and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed maintenance, inspections, repairs, modifications and functional testing of Typhoon avionic components.
• Follow work packages and approved technical information to resolve faults and manage configuration changes.
• Maintain personal task authorisation in line with QAF requirements and report progress against delivery targets.
• Support base maintenance activities such as oversight checks, tooling and test‑equipment control, and fault evaluation.
• Document all work accurately, update airworthiness records, and compile required reports.
• Maintain a personal log book and, where authorised, sign the log books of other personnel.

Required profile

• Experienced avionic technician with hands‑on maintenance experience on Typhoon aircraft.
• Strong knowledge of approved data sets, diagnostic procedures and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, follow directions and demonstrate a proactive, flexible attitude.
• Commitment to safety, human‑factors principles and continuous airworthiness.
