Typhoon Avionics Operator

About the role

The Typhoon Avionics Operator will join the Base Maintenance Facility and report to the Avionics Junior Supervisor. This position involves performing detailed maintenance, inspection, and fault‑resolution tasks on Typhoon aircraft avionic systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed maintenance and inspection activities on Typhoon avionic systems according to work packages and approved technical data.
• Diagnose, rectify, and document faults, including component removal, repair, modification, replacement, and functional testing.
• Maintain personal task authorisation and adhere to QAF and MOE procedures for tooling, test equipment, and configuration management.
• Produce progress reports, raise ad‑hoc work cards for found faults, and ensure all maintenance actions are recorded in airworthiness systems.
• Support base‑maintenance compliance activities such as oversight checks and control of equipment.

Required profile

• Experienced avionic technician with proven maintenance experience on Typhoon aircraft.
• Strong knowledge of approved data sets, diagnostic procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, follow directions, and demonstrate a proactive, flexible attitude.
• Maintain personal log books and sign‑off authority within trade and skill boundaries.
