UAT Tester – Cards & Payments

About the role

Our client, a global cards and payments firm working with a leading regional bank, is looking for an experienced UAT Tester to ensure the quality and compliance of card products used by millions of customers. You will lead user acceptance testing for new card launches, enhancements, and regulatory changes, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into structured UAT test scenarios, cases, and data covering issuance, authorisations, settlements, disputes, rewards and loyalty.
• Execute end‑to‑end transaction flow testing across CMS, switching, scheme connectivity and partner systems for ATM, POS and e‑commerce.
• Log, triage and track defects in Azure DevOps or JIRA, perform regression testing and ensure defect closure.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, QA engineers and business users to keep test cycles on schedule.
• Produce UAT execution reports, traceability matrices and obtain formal business sign‑off before release.
• Validate compliance with card‑scheme mandates and banking regulations.

Required profile

• 5‑8+ years of experience in UAT or functional testing, preferably in card or payments domains.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive complete, traceable test coverage from BRDs and functional specs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, disciplined approach to defect management and documentation.

Required skills

• Azure DevOps (or JIRA) for defect tracking and test artefact management.
• Design and execution of UAT test scenarios, cases and data.
• Knowledge of card processing components: CMS, switching, scheme connectivity, authorisation, clearing & settlement.
• Experience testing ATM, POS and e‑commerce transaction flows.
• Understanding of KYC/AML, card‑scheme mandates and banking regulations.
